Hello Hiawassee Family,

My name is Forrester Watts, and I am beyond excited and honored to introduce myself as your new principal here at Hiawassee Elementary!! As many of you know I have had the privilege to work within the school community first as an intern teacher in years prior and later as the assistant principal. During this time, I have come to know and cherish the amazing staff, students and supportive families that make Hiawassee Elementary a truly special place!!

I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve all of our staff, students, families and the community at large. Our theme for this school year is Out of this World…Teaching, Learning and Service. With this theme we aim to inspire our staff and students to explore new ideas, embrace curiosity and strive for excellence in all that they do.

I am looking forward to building strong relationships with each and everyone of you. Together, we will continue to uphold the high standards of academic excellence and character development that define Hiawassee Elementary.
